Tam, also known as Tammy Ruggles, began a second career as a
freelance writer in 2002 after a lifelong visual impairment called RP forced
her to retire from social work. Since then she has had over 100 articles and
short stories published, and she also writes poetry and screenplays.
Her first book, Peace: Quotations & Aspirations for a Peaceful Planet, was
published in 2005 by Clear Light Books.
The Butterfly Blogs, co-written with Joley, is her second book, but she has
other titles, including The Incest Diaries, Suicide Notes; plus 3 poetry
collections, Life, Love, and Lord.
Extreme Pizza is also co-written with Joley.
Tammy enjoys writing, film, music, art, poetry, talk shows, comedians,
cooking, and more; plus spending time with her family and friends. She has
one son and two young grandchildren.
